This is a free 18+ event! Socialize, Shop, and Learn. Explore where a community event meets craftsmanship in a vibrant social experience with education and entertainment, social time, and a marketplace including local leathersmiths, toy makers, and artisans whose work celebrates the rich diversity of kink, leather, and alternative lifestyles. Our next NM Leather & Kink Fair is about community gathering and social time around our mostly local vendors. Entry is free for this 3-hour event. We have had great social energy at past events. Look forward to reconnecting with community acquaintances and friends as well as meeting new people. We’ve added two optional 1-hour classes (held at same time) from which you can select. Attend to learn or attend to contribute. Bring your friends! Also bring your own beverage and snacks. Only water will be available at this free event. Friday July 17th, 6-9 pm 6 pm: Doors Open 7-8 pm: Optional Classes - A couple options. Pick which one looks interesting, drop by, learn, contribute! Good Subs Don’t Just Sit There! by Silver This class explores what it means to be an active, engaged submissive both in scenes and in full-time dynamics. This class focuses on giving energy, reacting while maintaining a submissive position, and understanding how participation shapes the entire dynamic. After all, it can be difficult for a dominant to lead, guide, or create intensity when they’re given nothing to work with. We’ll discuss how active submission can heighten the experience for everyone involved, creating scenes and relationships that feel more intentional, immersive, emotionally charged, and collaborative. Whether you’re new to submission or looking to deepen your dynamic, this class encourages submissives to move beyond passivity and become fully present contributors to the energy of a scene or relationship. About Silver Silver has been in the kink scene for about eight years as a service submissive and pet. His journey has included teaching classes and hosting LGBTQ+ munches in Lubbock, where they focused on creating supportive spaces for learning and connection. They are currently studying psychology with specialization in BDSM, sex education, and non-traditional relationships. In his personal life, Silver lives in a 24/7 dynamic with two dominants. They believe power exchange and service are tools to foster trust, intimacy, and community. Silver taught at NM Leather & Kink Fair Apr 2026 and Kintoberfest 2025. Class #2 Leather & Kink Community Intro & Conversation by Multiple Instructors This is a different type of Introduction to Leather & Kink Community class by NM-REAL that will cover many topics and also be a conversation with ample time for questions and answers. There will be multiple instructors with diverse experience to bring you different perspectives. If you're curious about learning more about the community, come listen, contribute, and learn. We'll update details of this second class soon. More About NM L&K Fair NM L&K Fair was envisioned as a fun, social event of different sizes and durations, focused upon social time together and our community artisans. We intent to hold NM L&K Fair at least four times a year, maybe more when it makes sense. Main Event: Spring (April) - 1.5 days Summer Event (this one) - Friday Evening Fall Event: At Kinktoberfest, as the vendor focused activity. Winter Event - Friday Evening Whether you're a seasoned member of the scene or simply curious, this recurring event offers a welcoming space to explore, connect with community, learn, be entertained, and support independent creators who embody authenticity and artistry. Some events may include entertainment and education while others may not. Join us for a celebration of self-expression, inclusivity, handmade goods, and the power of social time. With different activities and vendors, attendees can expect fresh experiences and a growing network of passionate individuals.
